We all have desires and fears and one will always win out over the other.
Most of my own fears come out when I am preparing for bed and waking in the morning.ย I don’t always jump out of bed, thankful for the day, prepared to face it and the challenges it is sending me.ย How about you?
But once I overcome myself, I remember what drives me, saving lives, helping others, and travel are my three big drives.ย I talk much about the first two in these posts and during our Dr’s Report/Orientation, so I’m going to focus on the travel piece today.

I also enjoy wildlife.ย I love going to zooโs and aquariums. ย

Iโm a do-er, I like to go. ย To me the majesty of a mountain is preferered to sitting on a beachโฆ Itโs just sand, it burns your feet, gets in your shorts, and uncomfortable to sleep on.ย Still, itโs great to sit there and soak up the sand and โdo nothing.โ I think theย perfect vacation, may be a tropical island where Iย can sit and do nothing, and then go for a hike. ย Myย brother-in-law honeymooned in Figi and Bora Bora, and the pictures fit the bill:
I can go hiking along the ridge line one day while she sits on the sand and then we can swim or kayak in the water on the next day.

But my greatest passion is skiing.ย I love the feeling of heading down the snow on the side of the mountain.ย having spent my entire life on the east coast, I’ve never really skied in real powder.ย I’d love to go the the Rocky Mountains or the Alps for a week and experience “real” mountains and “real” snow:

Brian-It was nice reading your ‘Desires’ log !! When you go to some ‘spiritual’ places in the far east, include India too. Do not attempt Mt.Everest. It has become filthy. Try Kanchenjanga from Darjeeling.
The copper clad top of the mountain in the first rays of dawn are astounding. So, is the starting point of River Ganges up in the Himalayas. The Buddist Caves near Mumbai are great for paintings.
