I got to go to the CT Renaissance Faire with Faith and Rick.ย What a great time!ย The stage performers were fun, and we got to see jousting and knight combat.ย The best part was seeing many people dressed up in costume walking the grounds.ย We saw, kings and queens, princesses, wizards, elves and orcs, Vikings, pirates, and knights.ย This was really a Rick and I thing.ย Rick does civil war reenactments as a blacksmith and he got to wear part of that uniform with a vest and top hat.ย ย Faith wore a red and black prom dress.ย I went as a Knight of Ni from Monty Python and the Holy Grail which Suzy masterfully crafted.
In the week’s after Labor Day, Suzy and I have painted our family room and she has been redecorating the whole house.ย She has the knack for decorating that I do not.ย But she still finds ways to include me by sorting through options, narrowing them down and asking my opinion.ย This was evident with some of the wall decor and area rugs we agreed on.
These are the little things that make a difference in life.ย They are more than just baseball, a fair, and painting.ย Each of these items is another way to say “I love you” without saying “I love you.”ย We need more of that intentional thought process in modern family life.ย I am appreciative that we have it.
