I see a world where we get back to civility, discourse, and understanding.
I find it sad that the people who want to be accepted don’t accept others.ย Left, right, red, blue, sock, Yank, mine, yours, this religion, that religion, whatever the case may be, groups feel threatened by other groups and seek not to understand but destroy.ย If one wants to be accepted, that one must first learn to accept.ย We also have to accept that acceptance doesn’t mean agreement and we can agree to disagree.ย That is civility.
Differences are a great thing.ย We can learn much from each other when we put our differences aside and listen.ย That God person who you think hates you, have you ever sat down and spoken with them?ย That gay man may not be the devil’s son you think he is.ย Have you sat down and spoken?ย Are you willing to agree to disagree but find some kind of common ground?
We have the same disagreements in Medicine vs. Chiropractic, even within Chiropractic vs Chiropractic and Medicine vs Medicine.ย There is group thought and there is individual thought.ย Differences of opinion drive evolution if we would all just listen to each other and take away something from the other side.ย It’s not all bad or wrong.ย Most of the time we find we agree on more than we disagree.ย And the things we disagree on can be overcome with respect and understanding.
It’s those that seek to fully destroy the other side that are the problem.ย If you welcome the destruction or annihilation of your opponent, you are evil.ย You lack respect.ย Respect is the foundation upon which goodwill and good governance are built.ย We all need each other.
