I’m amazed how every time I watch certain movies I learn or see something that I didn’t in previous viewings. Life, Chiropractic and Innate are the same way. So I offer you these two stories….
After rearranging my office, part of the plan is to post a flat panel TV on the T-bar. Innate told me what size and brand to buy the moment I thought the idea. But my educated brain said “no, go investigate.” Talk to sales reps and other docs who have done that. I asked colleagues what brands and sizes and types they all have.
I talked to sales reps whose only idea in their mind is to up sell as large as possible. Even after I told them the space I have the reps said no, you can go right up to a 50+ inch TV with all the bells and whistles.
I looked online at prices and read articles about LCD and plasma and viewing distances. I think I know how to wipe my rear end with a television now. And you know what….
Innate said if you won’t trust me, cut a piece of cardboard the size I told you and hang it on the T-bar, so I did…..Guess what…..It was perfect.
So simple.
Part 2
Last night I went to a CT Chiropractic Council board meeting. I was the first to arrive and hated having to be there. I gave up my monthly black belt class to attend the meeting because we were talking about actions from the ATTY Gen office regarding the Anti-Chiropractic campaign. I knew the meeting topic was pretty important, but still, I resented being there.
When I arrived, Dr. Luiggi asked me what’s wrong, I said “nothing.” He replied, “No, seriously, what’s going on?” I told him the above and he invited me to get adjusted. I learned right there that he didn’t “check my spine” he didn’t evaluate me for subluxation, he checked ME; my attitude, my purpose, my heart, my soul. At that moment I realized the meaning behind “the more you get checked the healthier you are.”
Dr. Luiggi adjusted my C2 and Atlas and my mind cleared up. All the crap I had carried into the meeting was gone. It didn’t matter that I was missing out on a class or that I had kids at home. I was there; I had a purpose and a reason for being there at that moment. I may not have liked it, but I was supposed to be there. And the meeting was productive.
